A RECRUITMENT HOW-TO
Master The PSE Facts
Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) Gamma Nu is the premier marketing and sales-focused business fraternity at The Ohio State University. Our pillars—professionalism, brotherhood, and philanthropy—guide everything we do. Our site visits, networking events, and case competitions expand our network and provide real-world experience so that we can grow professionally. Our mentorship, bonding, and social events allow us to form lifetime friendships with our amazing brothers. Our volunteer events make a real impact around the Columbus community, helping out those who are less fortunate than we are. Our recruitment process includes information sessions, group interviews, a meet-the-members event, professional interviews, and a pop social. This guide will give you insight into the recruitment process!
Information Sessions
Get to know PSE Gamma Nu and the dynamic members who drive our success! At this event, there will be opportunities to network with all of our members to get first hand knowledge about our chapter. You will be given the opportunity to explore the exciting events we have planned for the semester and will discover how you can get involved. There will be two information sessions. You must attend at least one info session to be able to sign up for our recruitment process. But, it is highly encouraged that you attend both. Join us to see why PSE is the ideal place to advance your professional career and build life lasting friendships!
Interview Preparation
Stand out in your interviews by utilizing the STAR method:
Situation: Set the scene by describing the context.
Task: Outline the challenge or task at hand.
Action: Detail the actions you took to address the challenge.
Result: Share the positive outcomes of your actions and the lessons you learned.
Practice storytelling while staying concise. Perfect your elevator pitch and be ready to answer questions like, "Walk me through your resume" and "Tell me about yourself." Prepare thoroughly for behavioral interview questions. Ensure your college resume is clear, relevant, and showcases your involvement and work experiences effectively. Finally, make sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early for your interview.
